Akiko Ostlund creates multidisciplinary art based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Akiko has trained in middle eastern dance, cross-studying in many dance forms such as salsa, bachata, hula, tutting, and Bharatanatyam. She also practices collage, poetry, puppetry, and theater. Akiko uses her art to narrate her experience as an immigrant woman of color, connecting with her community to collectively resist oppression.
